What is an EPC?

An EPC is an Energy Performance Certificate, and it rates the energy performance of your home on an energy usage and environmental impact basis. The performance of your home is broken down in a detailed report and a graphical representation similar to those shown below is also produced.

The efficiency rating is determined by criteria which the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) is trained to analyse. Some of the things they look at are listed here:
